Black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) are an excellent source of sustainable protein for aquaculture, animal feed, pet and human nutrition. The larvae have voracious appetites and can be used for composting household food scraps and agricultural waste products.

BSF used for Bio Waste Treatment
The larvae and adults are considered neither pests nor vectors. Instead, black soldier fly larvae play a role as essential decomposers in breaking down organic substrates and returning nutrients to the soil. Biowaste conversion by BSF insect larvae, Hermetia illucens consists of feeding segregated biowaste to BSF larvae which have been reared in a nursery. Larvae grow on the waste feedstock and reduce its biomass. At the end of the process, larvae are harvested and, if necessary, post-processed to a suitable animal feed product. CRS Eviro with the required materials and equipments for the BSF waste processing facility will be able to operate effectively for this purpose.
